Supportive Environment.

What was it like last year, for incoming freshmen, Grace, at Shoreline Christian? “I came into my freshmen year sort of melancholy. I had just graduated 8th grade, and since I had been with the same friends and classmates for seven years, I didn’t think any school could live up to the relationships I already had. However, I was immediately struck by the friendly environment at Shoreline Christian. Despite not having met anyone there before, I always felt included and welcomed.”

She recalls a time when she felt supported by the community. “At the choir Christmas concert I performed my first solo, and I could tell my voice was wavering as I sang in the chapel. I was so embarrassed, but so many people congratulated me after the concert and I could not help but feel encouraged and glad that I had done it. The environment here empowers you to step out of your comfort zone.”
