It's all about the kids.
When Ms. Cheryl Bogertman started teaching at SCS this year, she could immediately see the difference that small class sizes make in the relationships between teachers and students. On “the first day of school,” Cheryl says, “I was able to get to know them so much more easily than in a normal-sized class. I can spend a lot more time with them throughout the day, which is huge. In order for them to learn the best that they can, I need to get to know them as best as I can.”
Cheryl grew up in a Christian school, and coming back to work in a Christian school “has been such a blessing, because God is the focus of everything that we do. The kids—those relationships—are at the center of everything. Their learning is the most important thing, as well as their characters and how they develop into who God wants them to be.”
