Walking alongside your family.
When Judy’s kids came to visit at an SCS open house, the first comment they made was "it feels like a big family."
"From the very beginning we were made welcome and felt apart of something bigger than ourselves," Judy says. "The teachers and staff instantly made us feel at ease and wanted to help with the transition any way they could." Judy's daughter, age 10 at the time, had been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes two years earlier, and her family wasn't exactly sure what things would look like with her taking insulin and constantly monitoring her blood sugar. But "her teacher was wonderful, along with the staff, and instantly put my fears at rest. They told us that they would walk with us down this path that God had given our daughter."
“Each of my children have had different struggles along the way just like every other family. But when your children say at the end of the school year that they wish school wasn't ending and couldn't wait for next year, that says a lot about the teachers and staff and what the school stands for."
