Fundraising

One of the goals of Shoreline Christian School is to keep tuition affordable for all families. Tuition and fundraising are the main sources of income for the school. Since tuition covers only 80% of the cost of running the program, we rely on gifts from our supporters to help cover the rest. Much of this is raised by special events like the jogathon, phonathon, banquet/auction and golf tournament. We also rely on contributions made directly to Shoreline Christian School.

God calls us to be good stewards of the many gifts he has given us. Shoreline Christian School is one of those gifts. Through the ministry of Shoreline Christian School, God enables us, as parents, grandparents and supporters, to work in conjunction with the school and church to raise up our children to His honor and glory.

Part of being good stewards of Shoreline Christian School involves giving. Giving of your time and of your financial resources. Many of us feel stretched to the limit with tuition and other expenses related to school. We may want to look at creative ways to give. Here are a few examples of some different ways to give:

Monthly giving: Perhaps a smaller monthly or bi-monthly gift is the best way for you to budget. You could even set up your bill payer at your bank to automatically send your gift.

Employer Matching Gifts: Many companies match employee gifts. Check with your employer to see if you can increase your support in this way without additional money out of your budget.

Gifts of Remembrance: A wonderful way to honor the memory of a loved one or a special event. Commemorate a wedding, anniversary, birth, retirement or other event with a gift to SCS. Those honored will be sent an appropriate card as well as acknowledgment in an upcoming ARC.

United Way campaigns: You may designate Shoreline Christian School as the recipient of your United Way donations.

Non-Cash Giving: Shoreline Christian School can benefit by your non-cash gifts of real estate, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc.

Wills and Bequests: You can identify Shoreline Christian School as a beneficiary of your will, trust, life insurance or retirement plans.

By looking for alternate ways to give to Shoreline Christian School you help us continue to fulfill the mission, help keep tuition low and give back to God some of what He has blessed us all with. Please call the development office if you have questions.
