Junior High Game & Movie Night!

After the parent/board forum on bringing in and maintaining jr high/high school students, one of the results of the evening was the development of parent-sponsored social evenings for the junior high. Judy Guion and Julie Alberda volunteered to help spearhead the events. Here is a brief summary of our first social evening.....

East Coast Reflections

When I heard that our school was offering a trip for High School students to tour the East Coast, I was so excited. I think that regardless of your age, everybody should travel to new places every once in a while. Traveling is one of the best ways to experience new cultures and gain new perspective. On the trip we traveled to many of the major cities on the East Coast including Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. Each one of these cities was filled with exciting culture, interesting people, and amazing history. There was never a dull day!

Preschool and the Gospel

I’ve mentioned before that I have son in preschool at Shoreline Christian School; his name is John. He has a pretty great story for being only three, but that’s another blog post for another time. He and I have shared so many sweet moments over the years, but a recent conversation really stands out. It’s the one where I was able to share the gospel with him.
