Many Hands Make Light Work
God created us with specific gifts and talents, how will you use yours at SCS? There are many ways to be involved and assist SCS in accomplishing its mission. Volunteering is the best way to connect, make friends and keep our school strong. Consider the ongoing opportunities, plus short-term needs posted below.

Join a Committee

The SCS School Board relies on several committees that oversee key functional areas of the school.

Advancement Committee supports the Director of Development and Marketing to drive the marketing, enrollment and fundraising activities.

Admissions Committee guides new families through the admissions process, conducts entrance interviews, and facilitates welcoming new students and families.

Buildings and Grounds supports the Director of Maintainence and Transportation to oversee the care and maintenance of the campus.

Education Committee evaluates programs and curriculum to assure the highest academic standards are met and that the program remains vital and dynamic in an ever-changing world.

Finance Committee oversees development and management of the school budget and key financial decisions.

Supervise the Playground

Parent volunteers are always needed to help with noon recess duty. Our noon recess is from 12:10 - 12:45 and counts as one full volunteer hour. Each noon we have two adults supervising our students, one teacher and one parent. Parents who are interested in signing up or would like more information should contact Char DeKoekkoek at cdekoekkoek@shorelinechristian.org.

Step Up for Special Projects

At various times of the year, we have special projects or events that need extra hands. We'll keep you posted.
