Caleb Bonner: Service and Transforming Influence

Caleb Bonner has been chosen as the Student of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2013-2014 by the faculty of Shoreline Christian School. The emphasis 4th service/transforming influence. Caleb is characterized by the faculty as someone who “has used his leadership in positive ways. He is willing to help his classmates and his teachers. Caleb has a heart for people and tries to be a positive influence for those around him. When Caleb was injured during basketball and couldn’t play, he continued to be an amazing team captain and encourager to his team. He is kind to classmates and is willing to help wherever needed. He has an energy and a sense of humor that draw others to him.”

His advice to underclassmen is to never let the things you want make you forget the things you already have, never give up on your dreams because they are ALWAYS worth fighting for, and always pay attention and work hard.

Caleb’s favorite Bible verse is Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them; for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Caleb has been involved in basketball, soccer and track. He has also served as a class officer for three years and been in Shiloh for four.

Some of Caleb’s favorite memories involve dances, sports, and concerts. Every day he gets to see his friends, the people he loves. “Just being with people you like and care about means you’re bound to have a good time.”

Caleb plans to attend Northwest University in Kirkland and major in nursing with a possible emphasis on ER or anesthesia. After recovery from ACL surgery he hopes to play soccer for them and join one of their choirs. Caleb is the son of Marty and Lynnette Bonner of Everett.
