Hello Shoreline Christian School community! Get your stomachs ready, because this Friday, January 31, is the Annual Chili Feed! Although this is only my second year at Shoreline Christian, I can already tell you what a fantastic event awaits you. I was a server at last year’s supper, and the community and involvement was amazing!
The Chili Feed is a dinner of chili, hot dogs, and cookie bars. This year I am on the committee for planning and preparing the dinner, and we are introducing a NEW secret ingredient to the chili recipe! Rest assured, this year’s chili will be as amazing as ever.
While the Chili Feed is a wonderful time of community and fellowship in itself, it also serves the greater purpose of raising funds for staff in-service and teacher education. As a staff, we constantly strive to learn about new aspects of education and technology, and these days of learning and collaboration would not be possible without your support. Shoreline Christian is continually advancing in areas of educational methods, technology, and philosophy, and this is mainly done during our in-service days at school. As a closely bonded staff, the fellowship and sharing during in-service is also invaluable, as it provides a perspective on students and teaching very different from our own classrooms.
So this Friday from 4:30-7:30 in the Seattle First CRC basement, come out to have some amazing food and great fellowship, and help support what makes this place so wonderful!
