Graduation Credits

As a prospective student, or the parent of a student looking at Shoreline Christian High School, it is important that future educational plans be taken into serious consideration when deciding what courses to take at the high school level. SCS requires a total of 25 credits to receive a diploma. The following is a breakdown of the required high school courses needed for graduation. 

Bible – 2 credits

  • Bible 9: Biblical Survey
  • Bible 10: Life Skills 
  • Bible Electives: Biblical Perspectives, Hands of Jesus, World Religion, Christian Doctrine 

English – 4 credits

  • English 9: Literature, Composition and Grammar
  • English 10: Literature & Composition
  • English 10: Speech
  • English 11: American Literature
  • English 11: British Literature
  • English 12: Advanced Composition
  • English 12: World Literature

Social Sciences – 4 credits 

  • Global Insights
  • Pacific Northwest History and Government
  • Western Civilization
  • United States History
  • American Government
  • Electives - World Issues, 20th Century History, Sociology, Psychology

Mathematics – 3 credits

  • Algebra I
  • Geometry
  • Algebra II
  • Pre –Calculus
  • Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus

Science – 2.5 credits

  • Introduction to Physical Science
  • General Biology
  • Electives: Advanced Biology, Human Anatomy, Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, Honors Chemistry

Physical Education – 2 credit
