Trees fill every corner of Northwest Washington. We are called “The Evergreen State,” after all. When I started teaching first grade at Shoreline Christian I was told to “teach something about trees.” Over the years I’ve developed curriculum for my fall science units about deciduous, evergreen, and Christmas trees. We also learn a verse every year that reminds us that God watches our growth. We are like trees. Read more >> about Out on a Limb

I knew over a month ago that this was going to be a long Saturday. The day started with a Board meeting focused on the 2015-16 school year’s budget, the afternoon would be filled with supervising three basketball games, and the evening featured a party for a member of my school family. It was going to be a long, Shoreline Christian kind of day.
